Mr. Robert “Bob” Righetti is the Marketing Director and Municipal Services Manager for Engineering Resources of Southern California, Inc. Mr. Righetti brings over 34 years of civil engineering and surveying experience to the company. During that time, he has spent 28 years as a Consulting Principal Engineer for the Department of Public Works and Engineering for the Cities of Corona, Garden Grove, Hesperia, Huntington Beach, Indio, Moreno Valley, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, San Bernardino, Temecula, Tustin and Yorba Linda.
Mr. Righetti has routinely performed on-call plan check, constructability review and project management for all cities in which he has worked. As part of his duties within this arena, he has reviewed maps, legal descriptions and plats for technical accuracy and conformance with the Subdivision Map Act for many of the cities where he has worked.
As Mr. Righetti’s work frequently requires his presence at various public agencies, he has assisted many with the preparation of department policy documents, practice manuals, design standards and handouts for the public counter of the City’s Engineering and Public Works Department including checklists and criteria for Water Quality Management Plans and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)
Additionally, he has served as chairman and organizer of the Coordinating Committees of Temecula and Hemet, patterned after the Riverside County model, and served as chairman for the County of Riverside Desert Area Coordinating Committee. In conjunction with these committees, he also served as chairman of committees established by the City Council of various Inland Empire cities to review and develop Development Impact Fees to be adopted and implemented by each city. Included in this effort was outside coordination with BIA and the development community.
Mr. Righetti attends regular continuing education and certification classes in the special disciplines of Subdivision Map Act, easement and right-of-way law, the California Environmental Quality Act, CEQA, National Environmental Quality Act (NEPA), Title 24, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Water Quality Act, Best Management Practices (BMPs) in water quality, land planning and law seminars.
Mr. Righetti has obtained his engineering and land surveying background through a combination of experience and engineering courses from Mt. San Jacinto Community College, College of the Desert, San Bernardino Valley College and California State University, Long Beach
Mr. Righetti is an active member of both the American Public Works Association (APWA) and CASQA.
