Plan Check Engineer

Engineering Resources of Southern California, Inc. (ERSC) seeks a qualified, talented, and experienced Civil Engineering professional to join our Engineering team in Redlands, CA.

The ideal candidate will assist ERSC’s team of professional staff in the execution of plan checks for engineering, survey, and water quality-related documents for land development projects within multiple agencies and cities. As projects progress, the candidate will interface directly with the related clients and developer’s engineers as necessary to provide information and complete reviews of documents. The candidate will also act as the City Surveyor for certain agencies.

Provides plan checking services to multiple municipal and public agency clients.
Reviews engineering documents such as Grading, Street Improvement, Storm Drain, Sewer, and similar plans for agreement with standards, codes, and sound engineering practices.
Reviews survey documents such as lot line adjustments, parcel mergers, legal descriptions, and other similar documents for agreement with standards, codes, and sound practices.
Reviews drainage documents such as hydrology studies, WQMPs, SWPPPs, and other similar documents.
Reviews traffic documents such as signing/striping, street light plans, and other similar documents.
Interfaces directly with clients and Engineers of Record regarding plans in review.
Occasionally provides insight and support to design team members for completion of civil design projects.
Various other duties as required by management.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or similar field;
Minimum of 7 years experience in the discipline;
Expert knowledge of applicable engineering codes, regulations, CA traffic guidance, and engineering practice;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related computer programs. Experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook is required; Bluebeam or Adobe PDF preferred;
Excellent grammar, math, and spelling skills.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 (Negotiable DOE/Q)

Marketing Coordinator

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and energetic professional with a natural inclination for teamwork and collaboration. The ideal candidate will assist ERSC’s team of professional staff in the execution of general marketing and proposal functions. Coordinates marketing efforts for the firm, including proposals, opportunity tracking, written documents, web postings, CRM entries, database management, and other items as required. Creates graphics, tables, and other content to assist in ERSC’s marketing efforts. Assists in managing the firm’s website content and social media presence. Coordinates the design and procurement of promotional materials. Maintains ERSC’s presence at meetings, trade shows, career fairs, and related events.

Assists in creating, updating, and maintaining proposals, qualifications, and marketing materials for submittal and consideration of potential clients.
Tracks and distributes opportunities released by potential existing and potential clients through bid boards, procurement sites, email, and other communications.
Maintain and update libraries of master proposal/marketing materials.
Assist project managers in developing presentation material for use during client interviews.
Assists in managing the firm’s media, including website and social media content.
Coordinates the design and procurement of promotional materials.
Assists with and attends meetings, trade shows, career fairs, and other related events to represent the firm.
Assists with coordinating participation/sponsorship of local community events related to existing clients to promote mutually beneficial relationships.
Performs basic client research to notify the ERSC team of potential opportunities prior to their public advertisement.
Assists Marketing Specialist with translating concepts into presentations and graphics for internal and external use by operations and executive teams.
Performs other various tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager, Marketing Specialist, or Managing Engineers.

2 - 5 Years’ experience is preferred. A/E/C experience is beneficial.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Creative Writing, or similar field preferred. Industry experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Illustrator highly preferred.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including word and excel.
Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and meet multiple deadlines.
Graphic and information design skills to produce charts, tables, and graphics for proposal, marketing, and promotional materials,
